የጀርመንና አካባቢው ሀገረ ስብከት “ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ለአንገብጋቢ ጉዳዮች ቅድሚያ ሰጥቶ እንዲወያይ እንጠይቃለን” ሲል አሳሰበ

በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን የጀርመንና አካባቢው ሀገረ ስብከት ጽ/ቤት ከነገ ግንቦት 2 ቀን 2015 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ የሚካሄደውን ርክበ ካህናትና የጳጳሳት ሹመት አስመልክቶ ባወጣው መግለጫ ቅዱስ ሲኖዶሱ ለአንገብጋቢ ጉዳዮች ቅድሚያ ሰጥቶ እንዲወያይበት አሳስቧል፡፡ የመግለጫው ሙሉ ቃል እንደሚከተለው ቀርቧል፡-
ግንቦት ፪ ቀን ፳፻፲፭ ዓ.ም የሚጀመረው የዚህ ዓመት ርክበ ካህናት የቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ምልዐተ ጉባኤ፤ አገራችን በብዙ ፖለቲካዊና ማኅበረሰባዊ ውስብስብ ችግሮች ስትሰቃይ በቆየችበትና አኹንም እየተሰቃየች ባለችበት ዓመት የሚከናወን በመኾኑ የኹላችንንም ትኩረት ስቧል። አገርን ኾና አገር ስታቀና የኖረች በመኾኗ፤ ቅድስት ኦርቶዶክሳዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያንም የእነዚሁ ውስብስብ ችግሮች ግንባር ቀደም ተጠቂ መኾኗ በግልጽ የሚታወቅ ነው። እንደአገራችን ኹሉ ከኅሊና በላይ በኾኑ ችግሮች ስትታመስ የቆየችዋ፤ አኹንም ያለችዋ ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ቀኖናዋን ጠብቃ ሲኖዶሷን ልታደርግ በዝግጅት ላይ ባለችበት በዚህ ሰዓት፤ በተለይ በመላው ዓለም ያሉ ልጆቿን ክፉኛ ያስጨነቀ አንድ ጉዳይ መኖሩ እየታየና እየተሰማ ነው።

ይኸውም ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱን ሕግና ሥርዐት በጣሰ፤የመላውን ኦርቶዶክሳውያን ካህናትና ምእመናንን ልብ በሰበረ፤ጦሱም የበርካቶችን ነፍስ በነጠቀ፣ ቤተሰብ በበተነ፣ በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ ታሪክ መጥፎ ጠባሳ ጥሎ ባለፈ መልኩ ጥር ፲፬ ቀን ፳፻፲፭ ዓ. ም. ተደረገ በተባለ ሢመት ኤጲስ ቆጶሳት ነን ብለው ብቅ ያሉ ሕገ ወጥ ግለሰቦችን በውጫዊ ጫና ተገድዶ እንዳይሾም የሚል ነው።

በተፈጸመው ሕገ ወጥ ድርጊት ከማንም በላይ በሐዘን የተመቱ፣ አዝነውም ከፊት በመቆም ልጆቻቸውን በማስተባበር ከፍተኛ ተጋድሎ ያደረጉ አባቶቻችን ይህንን ኹሉም የፈራውን ድርጊት በመፈጸም የቤተ ክርስቲያናቸውን ቁስል የበለጠ የሚያነቁሩ፤ ለራሳቸውም መጥፎ ታሪክ ጽፈው የሚያልፉ አይመስለንም። እኛ በጀርመንና አካባቢው የምንገኝ ማኅበረ ካህናትና ምእመናን አባቶቻችን ይህንን በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ ቀኖናዊና አስተዳደራዊ ቁመና ላይ ከፍተኛና የከፋ ምስቅልቅል የሚያስከትል ውሳኔ እንዳይወስኑ ተማጽኗችን ከፍተኛ ነው።

ስንማጸንም፤ በበርካታ ምክንያቶች ላይ ተመሥርተን ሲሆን በተለይም ከታች የተዘረዘሩት ዘጠኝ ውጫዊና ውስጣዊ ነባራዊና አንገብጋቢ ሁኔታዎች ባሉበት ኹኔታ የአባቶቻችን ስለ ሢመትና ሽልማት መነጋገርም ኾነ በተግባር መፈጸም ጊዜውን ያልዋጀ፤ አገርና ሕዝብ ለደረሰባቸውና ለተጋረጠባቸው አደጋ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ትኩረት እንዳልሰጠች የሚያስቆጥር ነው ብለን እናምናለን።

፩. በጥቂቶች የፖለቲካ ልዩነት ምክንያት በተነሣ የእርስ በርስ ጦርነት ከስምንት መቶ ሺ ያላነሱ ኢትዮጵያውያን (የሚልቁት ቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ በጥምቀት ወልዳ ያሳደገቻቸው ኦርቶዶክሳውያን ናቸው) ረግፈው፤ በአግባቡ ክቡር አፅማቸው እንኳን ተሰብስቦ ግብአተ መሬት ያልተፈጸመበት፣ ብዙዎቹ የሙታኑ ቤተሰቦች በወጉ እንኳን ያልተረዱበትና እርማቸውን ያላወጡበት፤ በአጭሩ የኢትዮጵያውያን ደም በምድሪቱ ፈስሶ የሚጮኽበት ጊዜ በመኾኑ፤

፪. ኦርቶዶክሳዊ ማንነት የበለጠ ጎልቶ በሚታይበት አካባቢ የነበረውና ከፍተኛ ሰብአዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ድቀት አድርሶ ያለፈው ጦርነት አኹን ቆመ ቢባልም፤ የቆመበት መንገድ አገር እንደምትፈልገው ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ጨምሮ ሌሎች አገራዊ ተቋማት ያልተሳተፉበት፣ በሕዝቦች መካከል ፍፁም ይቅርታን ባሰፈነ መልኩ ሳይኾን፤ «ውረዱ ተወራረዱ» ብለው ወንድማማቾችን ወደ ጦርነት በከተቱ ውጫዊ አካላት ግፊትና አስገዳጅነት የተፈጸመ፤ ዝርዝሩም ይኹን ጥልቀቱ ጦርነቱን መርተው ወንድማማቾችን ባጫረሱ የውስጥም ይኹን የውጭ ፖለቲከኞች ኅሊና ውስጥ ብቻ የተቀመጠ እንደመኾኑ፤ ተመልሶ እንደማይመጣም እርግጠኛ ያልኾንበት ወቅት በመኾኑ፤

፫. ቤተ ክርስቲያን ጦርነቱ በተካኼደባቸው አካባቢዎች በሚገኙ ማኅበረ ካህናቷና ምእመናኗ እንዲኹም ቅዱሳት መካናቷና ቅርሶቿ ላይ ያደረሰውን ጉዳት አጥንታ ያልተረዳችበት ወቅት በመኾኑ፤
፬. የጦርነት ዜና ዛሬም ቢኾን በኹሉም የአገራችን ክፍል የሚታይበትና የሚሰማበት፤ ዜጎች እንደልብ ወጥተው የማይገቡበት ወቅት በመኾኑ፤

፭. በዘራቸውና እምነታቸው የተነሣ በመቶ ሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ምእመናን የታረዱበት፤አኹንም እየታረዱ ያሉበት ወቅት በመኾኑ፤

፮. ዘራቸው ተመዝዞ፤ እምነታቸው ተመርምሮ ከተወለዱበት፣ ካደጉበትና ሀብትና ንብረት አፍርተው ከሚኖሩበት ቀዬአቸው በግፍ ተፈናቅለው በልዩ ልዩ ቦታ በሚገኙ መጠለያዎች ረሃብና ጥም፣ ቁርና ሐሩር እየተፈራረቀባቸው የሚገኙ በመቶ ሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ኢትዮጵያውያን የሚገኙበት ጊዜ በመኾኑ፤

ወደ ውስጣዊው ስንመጣም፤

፯. የሰሜኑ ጦርነት በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ አስተዳደራዊ አንድነት ላይ ያመጣው ልዩነት ደብዳቤ ከመጻጻፍ ባለፈ አባቶች ቁጭ ብለው ተወያይተው ቢያንስ ፖለቲከኞቹ ያሳዩንን ያህል ሰላምና አንድነት አመጣን ያላሉበት ወቅት በመኾኑ፤

፰. የሃይማኖትና የፖለቲካ ዓላማን ባነገቡ ኃይሎች ድጋፍ ጥር ፲፬ ቀን ፳፻፲፭ ዓ.ም በደቡብ ምዕራብ ሸዋ ሀገረ ስብከት በሶዶ ዳጡ ወረዳ አሮ በዐለ ወልድ ቤተ ክርስቲያን በድብቅ ሕገ ወጥ የኤጴስ ቆጶሳት ሹመት የፈጸሙም ይኹን ተፈጸመልን ያሉ ግለሰቦች ወደቤተ ክርስቲያን ተመለስን ያሉበት መንገድ ግልጽነት የጎደለው፣ ኹሉንም ግራ ያጋባ በመኾኑ፤ ተመለስን ያሉት ግለሰቦችም ዛሬም ቢኾን ሲያደርጉና ሲናገሩ የሚታየውና የሚሰማው አኹንም ከእኩይ ዓላማቸው ወደኋላ እንዳላሉ የሚያስረዳ በመኾኑ፤

፱. በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ አጠቃላይ አስተዳደር የሚታየው ክፍተት ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን እስካሁን ለደረሱባትና አሁንም ለሚደርሱት ጉዳቶች የተጫወተው ጉልኅ ሚና ስላለ፤ ይህንን ክፍተት ለመሙላት (ለመድፈን) ከኹሉ አስቀድሞ ወደውስጥ ተመልክቶ፤ ኹሉን ፈትሾ፤ የሚስተካከለውን አስተካክሎ መኼድ ስለሚገባ፤

በመኾኑም በእነዚህና በሌሎች በርካታ ምክንያቶች የተነሣ፤ ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ በዚህ ወሳኝ ወቅት ችግሮችን በሚፈቱ ርእሰ ጉዳዮ ላይ ትኩረት ሰጥቶ በመወያየት ውሳኔ ማሳለፍ፤ ዕቅድ ማውጣትና ለተግባራዊነቱም የሚያስፈልገውን በጀት ከመመደብ ጋር ለሚመለከተው ኹሉ ትእዛዝ ማስተላለፍ ይገባዋል እንላለን። ያ ሳይኾን ቀርቶ፤ አባቶቻችን በዬትኛውም ኃይል ሊደረግባቸው ለሚችል ተጽእኖ እጅ ሰጥተው ሕገ ወጦችንም ይኹን ሌሎችን ለመሾም ውይይት ቢያደርጉና በተግባርም ቢፈጽሙ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አሁን ባላት ችግር ላይ ሌላ ተጨማሪ ችግር እንደ መጨመርና በቁስሏ ላይ ጨው እንደ መነስነስ ኾኖ ይሰማናል። አባቶቻችን ይህንን ቢፈጽሙ በታሪክ ተጠያቂ ይኾናሉ። ቤተ ክርስቲያን በቀጣይ ማድረግ ባለባት ተቋማዊም ይኹን አገራዊ አዎንታዊ እንቅስቃሴዎች ላይም ተጽእኖ እንደሚያሳድርም እናምናለን።

ስለዚህ እኛ በጀርመንና አካባቢው ሀገረ ስብከት የምንገኝ ካህናትና ምእመናን፤ ብፁዐን አባቶቻችን በጉባኤያቸው የካህናትን፣ የምእመናንንና በአጠቃላይም የሕዝብን የልብ ትርታ በማድመጥና አገራችንንና ሕዝቧን ወደቀቢፀ ተስፋ እያስገቡ ላሉ ጉዳዮች ቅድሚያ በመስጠት በመፍትሔአቸው ላይ ተወያይተው ውሳኔዎችን በማሳለፍ አባታዊ ኃላፊነታቸውን ይወጡ ዘንድ ከተማጽኖ ጋር በክብሮት እንጠይቃለን።

Ethiopia’s nascent gold mining sector may be breeding rights violations after a lobby found workers were unprotected from potential health hazards.

Midroc Investment Group, the Ethiopian company operating the mine, and the Swiss refinery Argor-Heraeus that sourced its gold, are accused of taking no action over public reports about pollution from the mine for years, Human Rights Watch said.

According to the report published last week, residents living near the mine, located close to the town of Shakiso in Guji Zone, in the most populous region of Oromia have for years complained of ill-health and disabilities, particularly in newborn children.

Although the mine was closed years ago following public protests, Human Rights Watch’s research shows that the companies are inexplicably, been allowed to resume operations by the government without the firms taking any remedial action to address the pollution issues.
Health complications

This is disregard to the mining operations causing long-term health complications, with children being born with disabilities.


The Ethiopian government’s re-authorisation of Midrok’s Lege Dembi mining site violates the basic rights of the people living in the area, said Juliane Kippenberg, Associate Child Rights Director at Human Rights Watch.

“The Ethiopian government, by allowing the Lega Dembi mine to reopen without pollution reduction steps in place, is violating the right to health of children and adults living nearby.

“The government should suspend operations until measures have been taken to ensure that harmful chemicals in the water and soil do not exceed international standards and that people harmed by the pollution obtain compensation and care,” Juliane added.

After the report, neither the Ethiopian government nor the companies have responded to our inquiries on the allegations. However, Argor-Heraeus’ sourcing practices had been endorsed by two relevant certification schemes, raising question marks on the validity of background checks.
Arsenic in water

A study conducted by Addis Ababa University in 2018, confirmed that there is a large amount of arsenic in the water samples taken downstream from the mine site. Samples taken from soil outside the mine area have also been found to contain high levels of arsenic, nickel and chromium; all harmful to human health especially the nervous system.

The study conducted by the University’s Ethiopian Institute of Public Health showed that the residents living in Lege Dembi area are vulnerable to dangerous toxic substances coming out of the mining area.

According to findings of the study, “communities living in the mining area were at risk of exposure to pollutants like toxic metals released from the mining plant and other mining activities.”

Human Rights Watch said the outcomes of the study have never been made public. Midroc Investment Group, one of Ethiopia’s largest private business entities, took over the mine from the Ethiopian government in 1997. Based on information provided by Argor-Heraeus, Midroc appears to have taken little action to address complaints over environmental harm and ill-health. Human Rights Watch said. Midroc did not respond to a Human Rights Watch request for information. Argor-Heraeus, one of the largest gold refineries globally, sourced gold from Lega Dembi from at least 2007 until March 2018, and was the only company named as Midroc’s business partner in a 2007 Midroc annual report.
Environmental pollution

According to information shared by Argor-Heraeus with Human Rights Watch, the refinery did not identify the harm to the environment and to human rights at Lega Dembi until 2018, despite media reports and public protests about environmental pollution and ill-health at the mine in 2009-10, 2015-2016, and 2017.

Argor-Heraeus did not use its leverage with Midroc to address that harm.

The accusations raise debate on the growing need to have firms or investors sign on a commitment to abide by environmental conservation laws, according to standards set by the United Nations, and the Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD).

Companies are supposed to take steps to identify, prevent, and mitigate their human rights and environmental impacts: a process called due diligence.

“The mine owner Midroc does not appear to have seriously addressed the human rights and environmental harms at Lega Dembi, despite years of public protests by residents,” said Felix Horne, senior environmental researcher at Human Rights Watch.

“It is a source of great concern that the gold refinery Argor-Heraeus sourced gold from the mine for years without publicly identifying the human rights risks.

“ሰው ነው የሚናፍቀኝ….”

ጋሽ ታዲዮስ ብቅ አሉ። ፀጉራቸው ከማደጉ በቀር ደህና አካላዊ ሁኔታ ላይ ናቸው። በንቁ አይኖቻቸው ቃኜት ሲያደርጉ እጄን አነሳሁላቸው። ወዲያው ቀልጠፍ ብለው መጡ። እኔን ሰላም ብለውኝ አብሮኝ ያለውን እንግዳ ግራ በመጋባት ማየት ጀመሩ። እሳቸው እንደማያውቁት እሱ ግን የከፈሉለት ዋጋ ግድ ብሎት ሊጠይቃቸው እንደመጣ ነገራቸው “አመሰግናለሁ የኔ ጌታ” አሉ በትህትና። “ኧረ! እንኳን እርስዎን ቤተሰብም መጠየቅ ነበረብን” አላቸው።  “ምን ቤተሰብ ጋ ብትሄዱ ሻይ ቡና ተፈልቶላችሁ ትመጣላችሁ ይሆናል  እንጅ እነሱ ምን ጥየቃ ይፈልጋሉ ብለህ ነው አሉት”

ወዲያው ወደ እኔ ዞረው ስሜን ጠርተው “እንዴት ነሽ!መቼ ተፈታሽ?” አሉኝ። “ቆየሁ እኮ! እርስዎ እንዴት ነዎት?” አልኩኝ ። “አካል ይደክም ይሆናል እንጅ በመንፈስ ጠንካራ ነኝ፣ ስለጠየቃችሁኝ አመሰግናለሁ፣እዚህ ስንሆን ሰው ይናፍቀናል ፣እንዲህ ስትመጡና ስትጠይቁን ደስ ይላል” አሉኝ  ጠያቂ በናፈቀ ቅላፄ። እዳ ተሰማኝ ፣ሃፍረት ነገርም ሽው አለኝ።

ቀጠሉ  “እኔ ሰው ነው የሚናፍቀኝ፣ ፍትህማ ቢናፈቅስ ከየት ይገኛል? አሁን አሁን የሚያደርጉኝን ዝም ብዬ ማየት ጀምሬያለሁ” አሉኝ። አብሮኝ የመጣው ሰው በሃዘን አንገቱን ሲደፋ አየሁት ። ስለፍርድ ቤት ጉዳይ ጠየቅኳቸው። “አንዷ ተከላካይ ምስክር ነሽ፣ ክሱን ወስደሽ አንብቢና መጥሪያ ሲደርሰሽ መገኘት ነው፣ታለማ አልነገረሽም? ” አሉኝ ፈርጠም ብለው ። ታለማ ጠበቃቸው ናቸው። “ነግረውኛል፣ እሽ እገኛለሁ” አልኩኝ ። አይበገሬነታቸው፣ንቁነታቸው ገረመኝ!!! “በሉ ሂዱ ይበቃል ፣ሲመቻችሁ ብቅ በሉ መቼም በቶሎ የሚለቀኝስ አልመሰለኝም” አሉ እንደመሳቅ ብለው። ሰው እንደናፈቃቸው አስተዋልኩ፣ልቤ አዘነ! “ፍትህ ከፈጣሪ ነው ይፈታሉ ፣እኔ መጥቼ እጠይቅዎታለሁ” ብዬ ተሰናብተን ወጣን።

ጠንካራው ሰው በእጅጉ ሰው ይናፍቃቸዋል፣ ለምን እንደታሰሩ የሚገባው፣ውለታ የሚከብደው ሁሉ ሊጠይቃቸው ይገባል። ማስፈታት በሰው እጅ ነው፣መጠየቅ ግን በእጃችን ነው!

ከዚህ ቀደም ታስራ ከእስር የተፈታችው መስከረም አበራ ዛሬ ከሰዓት በኋላ አዲስ አበባ ውስጥ በፌደራል ፖሊስ በቁጥጥር ሥር መዋሏን ባለቤቷ መናገሩን ቢቢሲ ዘግቧል።

የመስከረም አበራ ባለቤት አቶ ፍጹም ገ/ሚካኤል እንደተናግረው ፤ ከሰዓት 10፡30 አካባቢ ” ሃያ ሁለት / 22 ” ተብሎ በሚጠራው አካባቢ አብረው ሳሉ ሲቪል እና የፌደራል ፖሊስ የደንብ ልብስ የለበሱ ሰዎች መጥተው መስከረምን ይዘው ሄደዋል።

መስከረም የግለሰቦቹን ማንነት ስትጠይቅ የፌደራል ፖሊስ አባላት መሆናቸውን ከገለጹ በኋላ ሜክሲኮ ወደሚገኘው የፌደራል ፖሊስ ወንጀል ምርመራ መሥሪያ ቤት ይዘዋት እንደሚሄዱ ተናግረው በመኪና እንደወሰዷት ባለቤቷ ፍጹም ገ/ሚካኤል አስረድቷል።

ፍጹም እንደሚለው ባለቤቱ ታስራ ወደምትገኝበት ሜክሲኮ የፌደራል ወንጀል ምርመራ አቀንቶ መስከረምን ማግኘቱንና በምን ወንጀል ተጠርጥራ በቁጥጥር ስር እንደዋለች እንደማታውቅ ተናግረዋል።

በጥገና እና የተጎዱ የቴሌ መሠረተ ልማቶችን በመተካት ከዚህ ቀደም አገልግሎት ካገኙ አካባቢዎች ባለፈ በሌሎች ኔትዎርክ የተቋረጠባቸው አካባቢዎች በቅርቡ አገልግሎት ለማስጀመር በትኩረት እየተሠራ መሆኑን ሥራ አስፈፃሚዋ መናገራቸውን ኢብኮ ዘግቧል።

– የህንፃው መሰረት ድንጋይ የተቀመጠው በሰኔ 20 ቀን 2007 ዓ/ም በወቅቱ የኢትዮጵያ ከፍተኛ ባለስልጣን በነበሩት በሚኒስትር ማዕረግ የፖሊሲ ጥናት እና ምርምር አማካሪ እና የኢትዮጵያ ንግድ ባንክ የዳይሬክተሮች ቦርድ ሰብሳቢ አቶ በረከት ስምኦን ነው።

– ግንባታውን ለማካሄድ ረጅም ጊዜ ጥናት የተደረገ ሲሆን ቦታውን ለማግኘት እራሱን የቻለ ጊዜ ወስዷል ፤ 18,308 ሜትር ስኩዌር መሬት ለህንፃው ከተሰጠ በኃላ በርካቶች የተሳተፉበት የዲዛይን ውድድር ተካሂዶ አሁን ያለው ተመራጭ ሊሆን ችሏል።

– የህንፃውን ዲዛይ እና ግንባታ ተቋም ለመለየት 7 ዓመታት ወስዷል።

– ህንፃው እጅግ ዘመናዊ የሆነ እና በኢትዮጵያ ከዚህ በፊት ያልተለመደ አሰራርን አካቶ ነው የተሰራው።

– የህንፃው ግንባታ በአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ቴክኖሎጂ ኢንስቲትዩት (AAiT) ተቆጣጣሪነት በቻይና መንግስት ኮንስትራክሽን ኢንጂነሪንግ ኮርፖሬሽን አማካኝነት ነው የተካሄደው።

– 4 የምድር ውስጥ እና 49 ከምድር በላይ በድምሩ ባለ 53 ወለል ከፍታ ያለው ርዝመቱ 209.15 ሜትር የሆነ ታወር ሲሆን ሁለት ባለ 11 እና ባለ 13 ወለሎች ግዙፍ ህንፃዎችን አካቷል። በድምሩ ከ165 ሺህ ካሬሜትር በላይ ስፋት ላይ የተገነባ ነው።

– ባለ 11 ወለሉ ህንፃ ለኮንፈረንስ ነው፤ በአንድ ጊዜ 2500 ሰዎችን ማስተናገድ የሚችል ዘመናዊ የስብሰባ አዳራሽ ፣ 300 ሰዎችን የሚይዙ እና 200 ሰዎች የሚይዙ 5 መለስተኛ የስብሰባ አዳራሾች አሉት (ሁሉም እርስ በእርሳቸው መገናኘት ይችላሉ) ፤ የሰራተኞች መመገቢያ እንዲሁም የባንክ ቅርንጫፍ አሉት።

– ባለ13 ወለሉ ህንፃ ለንግድ ስራ ማዕከልነት የሚያገለግል ነው። 5 ክፍሎች ያሉት እጅግ ዘመናዊ የሲኒማ አዳራሽ ፣ የንግድ ማዕከላት፣ ጂምናዚየም ፣ የውበት መጠበቂያ ስፓ፣ የልጆች መዝናኛ ማዕከል ጌም ዞን ፣ ሬስቶራንቶች ፣ ፉድ ኮርት አካቷል።

– የዋናው ህንፃ አንደኛ ፎቅ ቋሚ የአውደርእይ ማሳያ ነው፣ ከ2ኛ እስከ 46ኛ ፎቅ የባንኩ የዋና መስሪያ ቤት ሰራተኞችን ቢሮ ይይዛል። 47ኛ እና 48ኛ ፎቆች የካፍቴሪያ እና የመዝናኛ ቦታዎች ናቸው።

– 24 አሳንሰሮች፣ 26 ስኬሌተሮች አሉት። 4ቱ የምድር ውስጥ ወለሎች 1500 መኪና መያዝ የሚችል ዘመናዊ የመኪና ማቆሚያ መካኒካል ፓርኪንግ ጨምሮ የያዘ ፣ ሌሎች ልዩ ልዩ አገልግሎት የያዙ ክፍሎች የያዘ ነው።

– ሙሉ ህንፃው ዘመናዊ የእሳት መከላከያ እና የ CCTV ካሜራዎች ፣የሚዲያ ፋሲሊቲ፣ በረጅሙ ህንፃ 3 የአደጋ ጊዜ መቆያ ሪፊውጂ ወለሎች አሉት። ዘመናዊ የደህንነት መጠበቂያ ሲስተም የተገነቡለት ነው።

– ውሃ እና መብራት በቁጠባ ለመጠቀም IBM የተሰኘ ልዩ ቴክኖሎጂ ተገጥሞለታል።

– ህንፃው በአዲስ አበባ ረጅሙ ህንፃ በምስራቅ አፍሪካ እና በመላው አፍሪካ ሰማይ ጠቀስ ህፃዎች መካከል በግንባር ቀደምትነት የሚጠቀስ ነው።

– ግንባታው 303.5 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ፈጅቷል።

– የኢትዮጵያ ንግድ ባንክ የዋና መስሪያ ቤት ህንፃ የካቲት 6 ቀን 2014 ዓ/ም በኢትዮጵያ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዶክተር ዐቢይ አህመድ ከፍተኛ የሀገሪቱ ባለስልጣናት በተገኙበት ተመርቋል።

Ethiopia was among the first nations to adopt Christianity as its official religion.

The “Last Christian Emperor” is an almost forgotten description of Haile Selassie, late Emperor of Ethiopia. More usually he is known as the “Lion of Judah” or “King of Kings” or “Elect of God.” Much is made of his lineage, which claims descent from a brief encounter between King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Despite their biblical forebears, it was the Christian faith that Ethiopia’s rulers embraced. This huge but little-known nation was among the first to adopt Christianity as its official religion, possibly even before Armenia.Launch the slideshow 

Christianity was central to the life of Haile Selassie, whose name means “Power of the Trinity.” For the hundreds of thousands of Rastafarians who worship the last Emperor of Ethiopia, his birth name is more important: Ras Tafari. This devout follower of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church never sought the adulation of the Rastafari community, although he was perhaps flattered by it. 

The reason that so many in the African diaspora still worship Haile Selassie is straightforward. For decades, he was the most visible symbol of African resistance to Western colonialism.

These days his memory is a paradox, except for his staunch Rastafarian followers. An autocrat who cared deeply about his people, he could be aloof and paternalistic. A modernizer who didn’t work fast enough for many, he upset his country’s aristocracy with the speed of his reforms. Amid all the praise and criticism, few have ever doubted his Christian devotion. His coronation, exactly 90 years ago, was a scene of imperial Christianity that would not be seen again. Crowned heads and presidents around sent representatives to attend an event that gave the whole of Africa a profile that has never been so high. 

It was not a purely symbolic occasion for the 38-year-old emperor. Throughout his life Haile Selassie made faith integral to his personal life. He had become a deacon before reaching the age of 10, and attended church services almost every day. Despite being an Orthodox Christian, much of his education was provided by a Catholic priest from France. To promote the faith that had existed in Ethiopia since the 1st century, when the kingdom was mentioned in the New Testament, he built an astonishing number of churches. He also built bridges with other Christian denominations, trying to strengthen the faith in his corner of Africa and the Middle East. A typical act for him was adopting 40 orphans of the Armenian Genocide when he visited Jerusalem. They later formed an amateur brass band for a ruler with a rare gift for music. Duke Ellington was one of his favorites, playing for the emperor in 1973, just before he was deposed. It was also one of Ellington’s last performances.

It is seldom Haile Selassie’s religious or artistic accomplishments that are remembered; it is his attempts to make Africa matter. He helped Ethiopia become a founder member of the League of Nations and warned the world about the dangers of fascism before Mussolini invaded his country in 1935. It was not the first time this dynasty had stood up to European aggression. Ethiopia was the only African country to defeat colonizers looking for easy pickings. In 1896, Haile Selassie’s father won a victory over Italy that still hurt Mussolini’s pride many years later.

In the end, Haile Selassie won back his throne, only to be removed by a Marxist military coup in 1974. He was probably murdered soon after, and his remains put in an unmarked grave. No other nations came to his defense. Worst of all, the UK continues to hang on to some of Ethiopia’s most important religious treasures – looted by British soldiers in 1868. Among the few concessions the late emperor received was a gold crown, returned by the UK government in 1924 after the Lion of Judah had presented King George V with two Ethiopian lions as part of a goodwill tour of Europe. According to some reports, it is possible that Haile Selassie is the only person that George V’s granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth II, has ever bowed to in her 67 years as monarch. If this is true, it would have to be because the Emperor of Ethiopia was more than just an earthly ruler. Through his Solomonic descent from King David, he was also a living relative of Jesus
