Ethiopia’s minister of justice has resigned from his post. Insiders revealed that Gedion Timotheos handed his resignation a month ago, but the PM was not willing to let him go.
The rumor mill also dropped the name of Dr. Lia Tadesse Gebremedhin who became the Minister of Health of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in March 2020, to resign from her position. It’s been stated that she has found a new position outside of the country.
Dr Lia served as State Minister of Health since November 2018, leading the national health programs during Covid 19 pandemic. Her resignation will be a big blow to the PM and the beginning of leadership crisis within the prosperity party.
